Everyone knows about Brock Bowers at the top of the 2024 NFL Draft, but Erick All flashes as a potential starter at the next level. Erick All was a three-star prospect who committed to Michigan in 2019. He spent the first two years hiding on the depth chart there. As a freshman, All only had one catch for ten yards. Then as a sophomore, he had 12 catches for 82 yards but still no touchdowns. As a Junior, All battled injuries but had a breakout by Michigan receiving standards. On a team that barely threw for over 3000 yards, All caught 38 passes for 437 yards and two touchdowns.

Unfortunately, injuries hit All hard in 2022. He had a back surgery that caused him to play in only three games. The All transferred to Iowa for his super senior season but tore his ACL against Wisconsin. If he had declared as a Junior, he likely would have been a day two pick. Now with an injury history and two years of lost games, All could slide this week.

Strengths

• Developed into a fluid receiver over time, moves like a smaller man.
• Prototypical size for the position.
• Can carry defenders after the catch, but also make them miss at times.
• Willing blocker who provides aggressive first contact.
• Has utility as both an in line and slot offensive weapon.
• Good enough athlete to block in space whether pulling or helping other receivers after their catch.

Weaknesses

• Had some serious drop concerns early in college.
• Multiple season ending injuries.
• Only one season of production across five years.
• Solid first contact blocking, lacks footwork or attention to detail to hold blocks over time.

Last Word on Erick All 2024 NFL Draft Profile

It’s really a shame that All didn’t get his last two seasons to shine. When healthy, All is a playmaking tight end who showed clear development in all aspects of his game in his first three seasons. Unfortunately, a back surgery and a torn ACL could remove him from some teams’ boards. We’ve seen some teams take swings on older players who have dealt with injury the past couple seasons, but it’s normally that the player sustained an injury then performed as a senior.

All performed as a true junior, then suffered injuries that make him an older prospect now. It’s an unfortunate series of events, but based on purely on the field play All has all of the tools in the toolbox. The Carolina Panthers could use an option for seam routes, and All would give them an obvious upgrade in 2024. The Cincinnati Bengals might be looking at a world without Tee Higgins in 2025 and beyond, so adding cheap weapons all over the field would make sense for them. Wherever All goes, he will be value added if healthy.
